Topics include state and provincial educational requirements and delivery methods, operational uses of online tools in data collection and verification, the application of IAAO standards to technology, and the use of available online resources in daily operations. Following this overview, the session follows a path that will eventually lead to a national parcel database in the United States. The ongoing trend to aggregate and share data at local, state, and regional levels is rapidly gaining momentum, inevitably resulting in a fully functional national database. Learn the current status of this initiative, the influence other countries have had on the process, and the role of assessors as a vital source of authoritative data.
